Responsibilities

The Professional Relations Manager identifies, develops, implements and monitors relationships with external individuals and organizations that align with the mission of MJH Associates' managed markets franchise. This position will focus on developing innovative and measurable initiatives relevant to the managed markets franchise and partner organizations including, but not limited to sharing of content, promotional activities, and event planning. Additionally, this role will focus on engagement of partners in event activities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide organizational partnership management. Drive partner negotiations and manage the contracting process from start to finish.
    • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and engage potential partners
    • Maintain database of potential organizational partners and relevant information including
      • Key contacts within external organizations to establish initial relationships
      • Strategies where/how potential partners could draw benefit from internal assets and capabilities
    • Organize and contribute onboarding efforts to pull-through organizations into partnership status
  • Assist in event recruitment, utilizing existing and emerging relationships
  • Evaluate media partnership opportunities and present recommendations to the franchise leadership team. Communicate and collaborate with a broad range of constituents (editorial, sales, marketing)
    • Lead exploratory discussions with potential content partners. Evaluate opportunities and present recommendations to the management team.
  • Build, maintain and evolve relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop product plans with stakeholders, taking into consideration how MJH Associates can best collaborate with relevant partner ecosystems.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university and 4-6 years of experience; preferably in healthcare or related field
  • Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and function of activities and organizations in the managed markets (managed care) environment
  • Must possess a high degree of organization, and can prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Strong computer skills (eg, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook programs)
  • Knowledge of project management software and HTML is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Performance Goals (Q3-Q4 2017)

  • Create working list of SAP targets based on input from editorial and sales teams; include recommendations of those initially listed
  • Develop "value proposition" materials for SAP relationships with MJH and the managed markets franchise; this includes a PPT presentation, written letters, and phone scripts
  • Engage at least 2 clinical (non-onc), 2 non-clinical, and 4 oncology-based SAPs by EOY; these may include add-ons to existing SAP relationships, but specific to managed markets
  • Develop and execute 2018 plan for media/cross-promotion partnerships for managed markets relating to live meetings
