In this role, you will have an opportunity to learn about multiple therapeutic areas, travel to medical conferences, and interact with leading experts in the medical field. As a member of the clinical communications team within MJH, you will have the opportunity to help create both print and digital deliverables, including supplements, video productions, and medical advisory board events.

 

The clinical communications team strives to meet high standards of quality, accuracy, and editorial relevance for our medical publications. This position requires the ability to track multiple deadlines, edit and review clinical manuscripts, integrate the comments of multiple reviewers into manuscripts, interact with internal and external clients, develop content collaboratively, and manage freelance medical writers and editors as needed.

 

We are looking for an energetic self-starter who is able to manage multiple deadlines, manage a variety of projects in multiple therapeutic areas, and work collaboratively with other team members. This role requires up to 10% travel, primarily to medical conferences and advisory board meetings.

Responsibilities

- Content development. The clinical projects manager will review manuscripts with other team members, resolve any potential inconsistencies or inaccuracies in draft manuscripts, and ensure that manuscripts and final editorial products meet both the strategic needs of clients and the informational needs of readers.

 

- Manuscript preparation. The clinical projects managers must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external medical writers, manuscript authors, and reviewers to meet manuscript development deadlines. In managing manuscript development, the clinical projects manager will be involved from the early stages of content outline development to final manuscript preparation.

 

- Team integration. The clinical projects manager will integrate the work of multiple stakeholders within the organization and outside the organization to meet project deadlines in collaboration with other clinical projects managers, editorial staff, designers, and team leadership.

 

Qualifications

  • This position requires a college or advanced degree with a background in science and medicine and a minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, medical research, medical education, medical writing, or a related field. This role may require up to 10% travel.
