Responsibilities

Privately held fast growing healthcare media company is seeking hands on Controller. This position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company to include the preparation of financial reports and partner with external auditors. This position will report directly to the VP Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervision of accounting staff of 8 including all daily accounting functions, billing and payables
  • Timely and accurate preparation and / or review of monthly financial statements and all supporting schedules within 5 days of month end, including:
  • Variance to budget and prior year for all P&L accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts
  • Supervision of billing process, including completion of all billing requests each day
  • Supervision of commissions processing
  • Payroll processing
  • Day-to-Day accounting and close of Parent company
  • Supervision of 1099 processing
  • PNC Card coding and review
  • Management of agency prepayment accounts
  • Significant contribution to
  • Financial statements and 401k audits
  • Acquisition due diligence
  • Process automation
  • Ad hoc requests from CFO and VP Finance

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ plus years progressive experience in corporate finance
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong cost accounting and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with limited supervision
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products with advanced Excel skill
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (Solomon) a plus
