  • Responsibilities


    • Drive new business development for advisory boards, focus groups and speaker bureaus with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies within the oncology space
    • Attend face-to-face meetings with clients and conference calls on a regular basis to solicit advisory boards
    • Travel to and attend medical conferences for industry networking and activities
    • Accurate forecasting and projections, day to day management of account base, and creation of innovative and forward thinking tactics and leadership by example
    • Prepares presentations, reports, charts, tables and other visual aids to support business needs
    • Stay current with industry trends and marketing techniques
    • Oversee the management of all scientific content related to the activities that fall under his/her responsibility
    • Supervise the work of freelance medical writers ensuring that work is of acceptable quality, meets strategic needs to close educational  gaps, and generated on time and budget
    • Use in-depth therapeutic knowledge to write content where necessary, and components for proposals such as needs assessments
    • Develop educational strategies and work with key opinion leaders on creating innovative meetings, online education, and other activities
    • Drive educational design and content development for activities in diverse formats including print publications, meetings, webinars, symposia, patient cases, etc.
    • Work with project manager(s), ambassador team, and other company staff to ensure that client is satisfied with the quality of the product
    • Depending on job level may have staff/budget management responsibility
    • Develop and discuss activities with faculty, scientific affairs, clients etc. to include conducting/participating in planning meetings/call.
    • Contact and communicate with faculty about their roles and responsibilities within each activity.
    • Attend live meetings to serve as on-site client contact providing faculty oversight including slide review and editing as required.
    • As necessary, assist faculty with development of introductions, abstracts, slides, interactive questions/case studies, educational outcomes measurement questions, etc.
    • Development of comprehensive proposal documents, including needs assessments and practice gap analyses, as well as educational outcomes measurement reports in a timely fashion.
    • Assist with identification of potential clients, based on topics, product development and market information.
    • Communicate all potential educational needs and relevant industry information to staff.
    • Meet print deadlines, proofread printed material specifically for scientific/medical content validations.



    • 5+ years' experience in Medical Communications, CME/CE or Pharmaceutical industry equivalent experience
    • Experience working with medical professionals preferred (physician, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, nurse, physician assistant)
    • Excellent standard of written English, and ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English, both in writing and verbally
    • Ability to work on several projects at once while balancing multiple and overlapping timelines
    • Careful attention to detail and accuracy
