** The position is located in Cranbury, NJ**


The Editor, Pharmacy Times position requires someone with top-notch writing and editing skills, capable of quickly turning around professionally written articles for a pharmacist audience. This position will help generate daily content for a number of pharmacy websites, attend medical conferences, write/edit features for a group of pharmacy publications, and use various outlets, including newsletters and social media to post and distribute this content. Ability to analyze metrics on these articles using Google analytics a plus.


Additional responsibilities include proofreading email newsletters and interviewing pharmacy professionals. Travel is required. Publishing experience and familiarity with medical terminology and AMA style helpful.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Identify breaking and practice-changing pharmacy news relevant and write search engine-optimized articles
  • Work with editorial team and/or freelance writers to develop compelling digital and print media, including features
  • Coordinate content, including articles and related tables/artwork, for a print magazine and special publications along with a graphic designer. Edit and proofread all completed pages prior to publication
  • Develop content for topic-specific resource centers and emails
  • Keep current on developments and trends in health care
  • Able to travel 15% of the time to attend medical conferences



  • Minimum of BA/BS or equivalent editing/journalism experience
  • 3+ years writing/publishing experience, preferably health care-related
  • Demonstrated aptitude in writing human-interest feature stories, as well as the ability to write clearly and accurately about complex topics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong typing and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment, meeting tight deadlines and high expectations
  • Familiarity with medical/oncology terminology, AP style and search engine optimization techniques a plus
