Responsibilities

The overall role and primary responsibility of the Scientific Content Manager is to effectively support the delivery and tactical implementation of agenda elements for The Oncology Specialty Group' live activities. Responsible for keeping content and related processes running smoothly for The State of Science events, as well as other oncology based live meetings such as advisory boards and speaker programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Create meeting agendas based on educational objectives and relevant supporters.
  • Work with professional relations ambassador teams to solidify the agenda topics with the chair of each state of science program. Attend kick off call with meeting chair/faculty as needed to build agenda.
  • Work with sales associates to incorporate supporter interests within the agenda topics
  • Finalize initial agenda with KOLs identified by the chair and forward to Live Events Department and Marketing Department.
  • Adapt Change agenda as needed based on market changes, KOL requests, etc.
  • Create and manage timelines to ensure that all deadlines are maintained.
  • Attended and active participation in weekly state of science team meetings.
  • Update weekly status sheet for all state of science meetings immediately upon developments.
  • Review KOL slides for each meeting for medical accuracy, program objectives, and formatting.
  • Build slide deck presentations for other live event activities, such as advisory boards and speaker programs within the oncology space

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant healthcare experience
  • Project management skills, ability to implement complex initiatives/assignment and high attention to detail.
  • BA/BS degree required in a scientific/clinical discipline.
  • Oncology/pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including proficiency in PowerPoint, and ability to learn quickly how to function with new IT tools.
  • Travel required.
