  • Responsibilities

    The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for expanding company capabilities by streamlining operations and finances through the supervision Marketing, Live Events, Video Production, Project Management, Live Events and HR to shape and implement strategy in a transformational environment and working collaboratively with the CFO to improve the financials of the company. Identify acquisition and investment opportunities to fill gaps in MJH’s service offerings and business capabilities and strengthen the company’s overall market position and infrastructure. Work closely with key executives and management team to develop and implement efficient and profitable solutions and oversee the day-to day operations of the departments managed including managing capital, meeting financial and budget goals, monitoring quality, volume and productivity. 


    • Lead and direct staff in developing and implementing operational plans and standards of practice to ensure deployment and achievement of identified strategic initiatives.
    • Create and oversee development of operational programs to assess efficiency and optimal use of resources, including participation in benchmarking initiatives and other opportunities to improve efficiency of operation.
    • Forecast supply, staff and equipment needs for new programs evaluating cost and benefit; projects fiscal requirements for capital and operating budgets.\
    • Develop and execute communication strategies that promote strategic initiatives
    • Lead acquisition and invest process from start to finish, including:
      • Develop a comprehensive M&A strategy tailored to the specific needs of each service line and works closely with each Brand President.
      • Align strategy for M&A targets around:
        • Density and market penetration (overlap with current businesses)
        • Culture of the business
        • Synergies
        • Quality and compliance
        • Diversification
        • Enhanced capabilities
      • Develop and maintain processes to monitor and access changes in the competitive landscape for each service line, by region and specific markets.
      • Maintain the information in the strategic workbook for acquisition targets.
      • Lead research, analysis and provides recommendations to enter new markets while coordinating with business development and marketing efforts.
      • Takes a leading role in marketing M&A transactions to potential sellers and develops close relationships with business owners of companies of interest.
      • Presents acquisition and partnership opportunities and leads prioritization discussions that include market potential, customer needs, strategic alignment, competitive landscape, and financial attractiveness.
      • Lead M&A proposals, negotiations and due diligence.
      • Lead acquisition integration activity by organizing and managing the people, processes, tasks, and deliverables across all the business functions from both companies to ensure integration success.
