  • Responsibilities

    The Executive Vice President, Medical Education is a member of the MJH Associates executive team with full management and P&L responsibility for Physician’s Education Resources, Pharmacy Times Continuing Education, PER Global and PER Medical.  Responsibilities include overseeing content development, audience engagement and retention, program execution and delivery, product development, revenue generation and business development, and marketing.

    Qualifications

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for strategic direction of the business units including driving innovation and market leadership, and accelerating revenue.
    • Drive top line revenue to exceed EBIDTA budgets for these business units, and to direct and coach business leaders to successful results.
    • Working with business unit leaders, develop and execute business plans as well as preparing each unit for short and long-term growth.
    • Manage revenue goals and operational budgets.
    • Establish infrastructure to accelerate performance and drive growth.
    • Oversee business development training, professional development and recruitment of medical education talent across all business units.
    • Support teams in meeting with grantors, including pharmaceutical companies and managed care organizations to assess and evaluate educational objectives and business opportunities.
    • Evaluate KOL engagement and relationship management and develop engagement goals and plans.
    • Assist teams in establishing and maintaining relationships with grantors and partners.
    • Manage gap analysis of current medical landscape, assessing healthcare provider need, utilizing innovative educational principles, and content development to develop various educational activities.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the program management teams ensuring all programs are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
    • Work across areas to develop improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
    • Assist in related M&A activities and transitioning in newly acquired CME companies.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • The ideal candidate will have over ten years of leadership experience.
    • The candidate will have CME experience.
    • The candidate will have worked closely teams to create effective business strategies.
    • The ideal candidate will bring strategic experience from both small and large companies. Having worked in a smaller company s/he is accustomed to be being hands on when driving business initiatives.
    • The candidate will have a track record of building highly effective teams and providing clear direction and inspirational leadership for their staff.

    • The successful EVP should possess a special combination of skills. These include:
    • Strong interpersonal skills. This includes having built strong relationships with individuals at all levels the organizations. As such, s/he will have worked across organizational boundaries to accomplish his/her objectives.
    • Effectively manages one’s time and resources to ensure that the work is completed efficiently. This includes good organizational skills as well as effective project/task management skills. 
    • A sense of urgency that supports quick responses.
    • Having good judgment and strong decision-making skills.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's degree in business. Advanced degree in business or marketing desirable.
