    The Assistant Editor, Healthcare Speciality Group will be someone who is quick to absorb new skills and information, who doesn’t flinch in the face of a challenge, and who is willing to take initiative to develop the group’s distinct but coherent brands and content strategies. This editor should have top-notch writing and editing skills, as their time will be split evenly between both roles. They also should be a digital native, as comfortable crafting a concise story as they are at tweets, Facebook updates and short video clips, all of which must be created with health care professionals’ interests in mind. Additional responsibilities will include creating and proofing email newsletters, conducting and filming video interviews, and traveling to medical conferences. The Healthcare Specialty Group is comprised of industry-leading medical publications including MD Magazine, Healthcare Analytics News, Contagion Live, Rare Disease Report, and Dentist’s Money Digest. The publications serve a broad range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, healthcare IT executives, infectious disease specialists, primary care providers, dentists, and more.



    • Identify important medical news and write search engine optimized articles daily
    • Keep current on developments and trends pertaining to health care providers
    • Work with editorial team to develop compelling content for health care professionals, including special features, website highlights, conference coverage, and videos interviews
    • Post and edit content for website using content management system
    • Help maintain social media accounts and develop compelling email subjects/content
    • Able to travel 10% of the time to attend professional conferences and interview health care professionals 


    • Minimum of BA/BS or equivalent editing/journalism experience
    • 1+ years writing/publishing experience, preferably healthcare-related (will consider entry level candidates)
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong typing and computer skills
    • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment, meeting tight deadlines and high expectations
    • Familiarity with healthcare  terminology, AMA Style, and search engine optimization techniques a plus
