  • Responsibilities

    The Assistant Editor position is responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks instrumental in the timely production of several oncology-focused publications and in communicating with key opinion leaders in the field. This position will also help generate content for a group of oncology publications including writing and editing articles. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, assisting in communications with board members and strategic alliance partners, and helping to ensure that articles are accurate. Writing and/or publishing experience is helpful. Scientific background is a plus. Travel may be required (about 10% to attend conferences).

    Qualifications

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure letters to board members and contributors are mailed each month
    • Fact-check data points in articles for publication
    • Format references in AMA style
    • Assemble Medical World News section for each issue of OncologyLive, including gathering and writing briefs
    • Write articles for print publications and the website
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment, meeting tight deadlines and high expectations
    • Conduct interviews with researchers and key opinion leaders
