  • Responsibilities

    The Marketing Manager will develop, coordinate, implement and lead the marketing initiatives for franchise activities, target audiences, partnerships, and marketing research in collaboration with existing company managers/directors. The position will focus on developing innovative and measurable marketing initiatives in each marketing area relevant to franchise activities, constituents, partnerships, and audiences. This position will additionally identify, develop, implement, and lead marketing research initiatives with the ability to produce, assess, and present clear and measurable outcomes for successful tactics.


    The position is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all the organization’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. The position oversees development and implementation of the support materials and services of marketing, communications, and public relations.  The position directs the efforts of the marketing, production, communications, and public relations staff, and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the Organization.

    JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The position reports to the Director of Digital and Program Marketing and serves as a franchise representative to the corporate management team.
    • Within the Organization, the position has primary working relationships with the operations department, project management department, production department, business development department, and other outside service providers.
    • Outside the Organization, the position interacts and coordinates with other educational providers and institutions, outside vendors, and physician society stakeholders.

     

    Essential Functions & Principle Accountabilities

    • Develop comprehensive marketing, communications, branding, and public relations programs that will enhance the Organization’s image and position within the marketplace, and facilitate internal and external communications
      • Lead all Organization marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition, etc.
      • Ensure articulation of Organization’s desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the Organization, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
      • Responsible for editorial and creative direction, design, production, and distribution of all Organization collateral.
      • Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
      • Coordinate the appearance of all Organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
      • Ensure that the Organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Monitor and report on trends.
      • Leads projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.
    • Develop, implement and assess individual marketing plans for activities, programs, audiences, and partnerships
      • Collaborate with the internal resources in developing, launching, and evaluating marketing plans for two key stakeholders – Attendees & Grantors/Supporters
      • Provide ongoing success metrics to guide the plan and process
      • Clearly and regularly communicate, collaborate, and coordinate plan tactics with key organizational leaders
      • Identify new and improve existing marketing and tracking strategies to support the strategic and cost effective deployment of resources to meet activity, program, audience, campaign, and partnership needs
      • Manage applicable marketing budgets, including allocation, expense tracking and reporting to ensure activities align with defined marketing plans and strategies, and coincide with applicable activity budgets
    • Conduct the appropriate qualitative and quantitative market research in support of specific marketing initiatives with a focus on activities, audiences, and partnerships, and in collaboration with existing marketing leadership and internal partners. 
      • Research areas should include: regular research on audience size, competition, market trends, communication channels of influence to key audiences, vertical advertising opportunities, and other influences for target audiences.
      • Research will heavily focus on audience generation and new partnership opportunities for existing and proposed activities.
    • Track and report results/metrics
      • Establish and maintain timelines for marketing plans and engagement campaigns, reporting the key metrics on a monthly and project basis
      • Evaluate lead generation sources and outcomes.
    • Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations missions, goals, and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these financial goals and objectives and report progress to management.
      • Provide ongoing budget tracking, reporting, and cost analysis
      • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing, communications, and public relations programs and activities, monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate performance.
      • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation, reporting, and reconciliations of the marketing, communications, and public relations functions.
    • Coordinate with regional/national institution and society representatives
      • Recommend strategies and processes for lead conversion to migrate regional/national prospects into attendees
      • Build relationships with key constituents at relevant institutions and societies
      • Develop and implement evaluative measures to determine effectiveness of regional/national marketing initiatives and develop improved methods, measure and quantify outcomes
      • Devise and implement evaluation methodology, analyze results, and provide appropriate recommendations in collaboration with regional/national constituents

     

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 4-6 years of experience
    • Healthcare experience, preferably in the medical education, publishing, or advertising
    • Must possess a high degree of organization, and can prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
    • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook programs)
      • Knowledge of project management software and HTML is a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
