  • Responsibilities

    The Assistant Editor, Video Production is primarily responsible for assisting the Video Productions team in the process of developing clinically-oriented video content, publications, and other projects. There is also shared responsibility for assisting in content development for emerging publications and live meetings.  The ideal candidate will demonstrated a background in science and/or writing and editing.



    • Conduct interviews with key opinion leaders in medicine and travel as appropriate to academic centers and medical conferences.
    • Video transcript editing/proofreading: Ensure accuracy of video transcripts with respect to formatting, references, fact-checking, and style.
    • Content development: Assist with research and write descriptions for various franchise-related Websites and email newsletters, etc.
    • Video segmenting: Determine editing instructions of video editorial projects consisting of panel discussions and individual interviews.
    • Managing references, permissions, and media access: Research and retrieve literature needed for project content development; request and track permission rights from medical journals and conferences as needed. Manage press/media access for key medical meetings.
    • Slide presentations: Assist in slide development and formatting of presentations for video and live meetings.


    • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university and 1 to 3 years of editorial experience, preferably in scientific/medical/financial publishing
    • Experience with video interviewing, filming, editing, and formatting 
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments with tight deadlines
    • Must possess a high degree of organization, and be able to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
